Wooden swimming pools

What are

The traditional swimming pool has now taken a back seat because the market is always offering new alternatives that do not require excavation and long assembly times. Specifically, we refer to above ground pools made of fiberglass. This material has also been used for several years for in-ground pools and has always shown excellent resistance over time. When you decide for an inground pool, you only notice the pool, if the pool is placed above ground, you will notice the entire structure. For many, this certainly does not represent a problem, while others prefer to cover the external structure in such a way that it can have a more refined appearance. The material used for the coating is wood. Sometimes the same pool is sold including the coating, while in other cases this is purchased at a later time.

Features

The wood used for the lining of a swimming pool is treated so that it is able to guarantee excellent resistance despite being in direct contact with water. In a garden, furniture elements made of wood have always been a great success, as it is a natural material whose coloring perfectly matches the green space. When wood is to be used for the lining of a swimming pool or as flooring around a swimming pool, special treatments are required which serve to preserve the wood over time. The wood is usually left in its natural color, but in some cases it can be painted white. If it is a rather large above ground pool and you want to have a protective fence, this will also be made with the same material. Naturally, the wood used must always be constantly checked to verify that the slats do not deviate or undergo any alteration of color. Only in this way can we promptly intervene, thus trying to recover the coating and avoid replacing it with a new one.

Realization

A wooden swimming pool it can be purchased including its wooden cladding at a point of sale, alternatively a fiberglass swimming pool can be set up, worrying later about the cladding. When we talk about coverings, we are referring to a series of wooden slats that will form a cover over the entire tank. This operation does not require the intervention of specialized workers, but can also be carried out directly by the customer. By going to a do-it-yourself shop, you will buy the necessary material and take care of the assembly directly. The wooden pool is often completed by other elements always made of wood, such as the flooring, the fence, the ladder, for which the same quality of wood is always used.

Maintenance

The wooden pool requires the use of specific substances for the internal cleaning of the pool otherwise there is the risk of irreparably damaging the fiberglass. The water filtering system must always be adequate to avoid dirt sedimentation. It is an element of the garden that remains exposed to the outside even during the winter period, unless the pool is placed inside a covered gazebo. If this is not the case, it is preferable to cover the pool adequately with a cloth, to prevent it from filling up with rainwater or other dirt and therefore requiring quite a long time for subsequent cleaning, when it must be used for the new season. By using an isothermal sheet for the daily cover you have the possibility to keep the water temperature unchanged.

Costs

A fiberglass pool certainly has a lower cost than an inground pool. Before buying it, you need to be sure that the model chosen can perfectly match your needs and the space you have available, and then go to a specialized store. Furthermore, as regards the covering, if it is purchased together with the pool, it will be added to the cost of the same, otherwise if it is installed at a later time, it will be necessary to go to a DIY store to buy the necessary material. The fiberglass pool, being made up of a single tank of rather rigid material, can be placed on any ground. Obviously this must have been previously leveled, to avoid slopes. These are important precautions not to be forgotten, especially if you install the pool yourself. Otherwise, the workers who will intervene will certainly be competent and therefore you can rest assured.
