Tomato Maryina Roshcha - new hydride with incredible yield

Maryina Roscha is a new tomato that has received too few reviews yet. There is practically no experience of growing by other gardeners, or they are not in a hurry to share it yet. Experiencing being one of the first is also interesting. And if you have an extra square meter on your site for a newcomer, why not give it a try?

History of tomato Maryina Roshcha

The history of this tomato is just beginning. Maryina Roscha is not yet listed in the State Register, no one is registered as its author and originator. But on the Internet, as usual, there is a version of the origin of the hybrid. It was obtained at the Chelyabinsk breeding station (Miass, Chelyabinsk region). The official seller of seeds is the Uralsky Dachnik company. In addition, the selection station has launched its own online store "Garden".

The first reviews about Maryina Roscha on the forums appeared in 2016. Gardeners called this hybrid expensive and new, many were just planning to plant it. Indeed, a bag containing only 6 seeds inside costs from 74.50 rubles. (on the website "Uralsky Dachnik") up to 95.50 rubles. (in the shops "Garden" and SemenaPost). For what such money, you can try to understand by reading the description of the hybrid and testing it on your site.

Description of the hybrid

About the excellent qualities of Maryina Roshcha F1, declared by the sellers:

  • high-yielding - 17 kg / m²;
  • carpal - up to 9 fruits per brush;
  • large-fruited, the weight of one fruit is 150–170 g;
  • differs in amicable, massive ripening;
  • shade-tolerant;
  • resistant to temperature fluctuations;
  • does not suffer from cladosporium, fusarium, tobacco mosaic virus;
  • well tolerates long distance transportation.

Due to these characteristics, the hybrid is of commercial interest. In fact, it is recommended to grow it on an industrial scale for sale, but it is also strongly advised to plant it on every personal plot.

An early maturing hybrid, incredibly generous, reliable and stable. Your greenhouse will have a whole grove of tomatoes that you can admire endlessly! The plant is indeterminate, the most powerful bush has a truly unbridled yield. Such a hybrid is needed in every garden area!

None of the official descriptions yet mentions the taste of Maryina Roshcha F1 tomatoes.

We managed to find only two reviews about this hybrid from the gardeners who really grew it. They are short but laconic, refuting the most significant characteristics. The fruits do not reach the declared weight, the hybrid is not so harvestable, not early ripening and not even new, since it is very similar to the Chelyabinsk meteorite. The taste is sour, which has already become a tradition for hybrids. I am suspicious of both negative and positive reviews, especially if there are few of them. Therefore, I do not put a "cross" on Maryina Roscha for myself yet, but I did not have a great desire to grow such a tomato either. But if I were a farmer and owned a capital greenhouse, I would risk planting a shade-tolerant, dormant and super-yielding new hybrid in it. After all, in winter, buyers do not find fault with the taste of tomatoes, and you can sell off-season goods at high prices.

How to grow a fruitful tomato

From the manufacturer's recommendations for growing this hybrid, two tips can be gleaned: observe the planting density - 2.5 plants per 1 m², which approximately corresponds to the 60x60 cm pattern, and form into one stem.

For the rest, follow the principles of growing common varieties. Sow for seedlings 50-60 days before planting in the greenhouse, plus 5-7 days for the emergence of seedlings and the same amount for each transplant. After picks and transplants, the plants freeze for about a week, do not grow.

Nowhere is it said about the resistance of Maryina Roshcha to the worst disease of all tomatoes - late blight, which means that prevention will not be superfluous. Warm up the ground to 100 ° C or spill it with boiling water and disinfect the seeds in a purple solution of potassium permanganate. Such measures will also save one more problem - the black leg of the seedlings.

Soil disinfection is best done outdoors.

If the bushes of this hybrid really grow very actively and vigorously, then, in addition to picking in the phase of 2-3 true leaves, 1-2 more transplants in a larger container will be required. The rest of the care in the seedling period is watering and feeding with a complex mixture every two weeks.

The greenhouse and the garden bed in it must be prepared in advance. Even in early spring, treat all surfaces inside, including the soil, with a contact fungicide. The most popular of these is the Bordeaux mixture (3%). If you grow tomatoes in the same place every year, then, as soon as the ground thaws, sow it with fast-growing green manure (rapeseed, mustard, phacelia). This will create a crop rotation and improve the soil.

Immediately before planting tomatoes, fill the ground with humus and wood ash... Tie the bushes of Maryina Grove to a trellis immediately after planting and do not forget to wrap the stem regularly around the rope. Be sure to break off all the growing stepchildren, otherwise you will grow a grove of tops, the ripening time will be postponed, the fruits will be small.

Strong bushes need good watering, especially in a greenhouse, because there is no rain, tomatoes are completely up to you. To water less often, keep the soil always loose and covered with mulch. The plants will tell about their need for watering themselves - they will slightly lower the lower leaves. Do not allow the entire bush to wither; after abundant watering, due to a sharp drop in humidity, the fruits may crack on it.

High yields cannot be achieved without good feeding. Fertilizers should contain nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and trace elements. For the convenience of gardeners, manufacturers produce ready-made mixtures for any vegetable. You don't need to turn into alchemists and make your own recipes, just buy a ready-made tomato mixture and add it according to the instructions. The most popular brands: Fertika, Clean sheet, Agricola, Red giant, BioMaster.

The seed producer Maryina Roshcha promises massive ripening, that is, you pick a lot of red tomatoes at once, you need to be ready to process them. Transportable and dormant hybrids, as a rule, have a dense skin, which means they are good at salting. You can freeze the wedges and add them to different dishes in winter. In the meantime, other varieties are ripening on the site, our favorite and proven ones, with a longer ripening period, Maryina Roshcha will successfully replace them in salads.

Maryina Roshcha is a high-yielding hybrid suitable for growing in winter greenhouses for sale, and also able to supplement our diet with fresh tomatoes while the middle and late varieties are still poured and ripen. The bush is tall, which means that the main concerns will be its garter and regular pinching.

Tomato Striped chocolate: description of the original variety with black stripes on the fruits

BIF tomato Striped chocolate: determinant, large-fruited, mid-season variety.

In recent decades, more and more often in garden beds in different Russian regions, varieties and hybrids of tomatoes with unusual shapes of fruits and color of their skins can be found. Such tomatoes have good yields, can withstand diseases and pest attacks, and are also easy to grow.

One of the most original and unusual varieties of tomatoes is the striped chocolate tomato... The fruits of this variety look unusual and attractive in salads and appetizers, add spice to any preservation.

Tomato Ladies' fingers are classified as determinant, and their growth is limited by the brush with flowers that forms at the top.

Photo of tomato Lady's fingers

When planting seedlings in a permanent place in the first or second decade of May, the crop begins to be harvested in the last decade of June. But the fruiting of this tomato variety is stretched over time - the last fruits can ripen at the end of September.

Tomato bushes Ladies' fingers are compact - when grown in garden beds in open ground, their height can reach 0.6 m, and when planted in greenhouses - up to 1.2 m.

Shoots - erect, strong, medium thickness, well leafy, dark green color.

The foliage is medium in size, slightly wavy at the edges, slightly wrinkled, with a rich green color.

Small flowers are collected in racemose inflorescences, each of which can form from 3 to 6 ovaries. The first inflorescence is usually formed over 4-5 permanent leaves, and each next - after two leaves.

This tomato variety got its name because of the shape of ripe fruits - oblong cylinders with a characteristic rounded top or sharp nose at the end.

In the region of the apex, slight ribbing is noticeable, the skin is thin, smooth, shiny, in a state of full maturity it is bright red. After full maturation, the green spot is absent in the region of the stalk.

The pulp is slightly compacted, contains a pair of seed chambers with an average amount of seed.

Ripening tomatoes are about the same size, with an average weight of about 60 g, but the first fruits can be larger - up to 110-120 g.

Ripe tomatoes Ladies fingers - pleasant taste, sweetish with a well-felt sourness. Tomatoes Ladies' fingers are low in calories, they contain a large amount of vitamins and a sufficient amount of dry matter.

The harvested crop can be transported over any distance, they do not crack during transportation, and can be stored in appropriate conditions for a long time.

Features of planting and care

In the climate of the middle zone, the seedling method of growing tomatoes prevails. Rio Grande tomato seeds are sown closer to mid-March. The soil in the seedling containers should be loose - a mixture of humus and turf soil is suitable. To destroy pests and diseases, it is recommended to pour the soil with a solution of potassium permanganate or bake it in the oven.

For seeds of the variety purchased in specialized stores, pre-treatment in the form of disinfection is not required. Growth stimulants are also not used. All planting material has already been processed before it goes on sale.

Tomatoes are sown without deeply burying the seeds in the soil, and then sprinkled with a thin layer of peat. The container is covered with foil and left, maintaining the temperature in the room +25 ° C. Periodically, plantings are sprayed with warm water from a spray bottle.

After the shoots have appeared, the shelter is removed and the container is exposed to the sun or illuminated with a lamp. When two true leaves appear, the seedlings are determined in individual containers. After this procedure, it is necessary to feed the plants with a complex mineral fertilizer. The next time the tomatoes are fertilized before planting in the ground.

Seedlings are planted at the rate of 4 bush per 1 sq. m so that the plants are not cramped. Tomatoes of the variety are moved to the greenhouse in early May, but when they are planted in open ground, they are waiting for June. The main condition is that the soil warms up well at depth too.

In the southern regions, Rio Grande tomatoes can be grown using a seedless method. In this case, in May, the seeds are dipped into small pits, gently watered with lukewarm water and covered with foil. The soil must warm up to + 15 ° C for the favorable development of plants. Rio Grande will begin to bear fruit after 120 days.

Since the bush is compact enough, it does not need to be shaped and tied up. But if necessary, you can fix it so that the ripening fruits do not touch the ground. Tomatoes should be fertilized twice a season with a solution of poultry droppings or phosphorus-containing agents. The greenhouse needs to be ventilated periodically to prevent the growth of fungi and rot.

Features of planting and growing tomato Spasskaya Tower

The Spasskaya Tower tomato is grown through the seedling stage, the care of which has no peculiarities. Sowing seeds in boxes is carried out about 60-70 days before the expected day of planting seedlings in the garden. Therefore, if you want to grow this tomato in the middle lane without shelter, the seeds should be sown on March 20-25, in order to plant the bushes in open ground at the very beginning of summer. In the presence of a simple greenhouse, the terms are shifted by 2-3 weeks, and if the greenhouse is modern, of high quality, perhaps by a month. In the Ural conditions, it is better to use a greenhouse. Seeds for seedlings are sown in mid-March.

Shortly before planting seedlings, they must be hardened. Planting scheme 50 x 50 cm or similar: four bushes can be placed on a square meter. Before the start of fruiting, the bushes do not require tying, but it is better to drive the stakes right in. As soon as the fruits are tied, it is worth tying the stem in 1-2 places. If the brushes are tied very heavy, it is better to put props under them.

Tomato Spasskaya Tower requires abundant watering, especially before the fruits ripen. Water the plants 1-2 times a week, depending on the weather. In the heat, you may need to water more often. It is also necessary to feed a high-yielding variety often: the traditional three-time scheme is not enough. Usually, feeding is carried out every two weeks.... First, all the nutrients are required, after setting the fruits, the amount of nitrogen is reduced, and then the nitrogen component is eliminated altogether.

Passionate is required in moderation. It is difficult to recommend a specific scheme for the formation of a bush, which is a tower and does not give many stepsons, especially in the lower part of the plant. Apparently, the method of forming this tomato has not yet been fully worked out; basically, you should break out those stepsons and pick off those leaves that clearly thicken the bush, interfere with the lighting of the set fruits.

Growing seedlings

An important nuance is that hybrid seeds must be bought annually. Collected on the site on their own, they will not provide the varietal characteristics of the tomato. Sowing for seedlings is prescribed 2 months before the date of planting in the ground. The date is calculated taking into account the region of cultivation, climatic features, recommendations of the lunar calendar and weather forecast for the current year. The description of the tomato variety "Spasskaya Tower" indicates the most comfortable conditions for growing a plant. If it is not possible to meet all the requirements of the variety, then you need to take care of proper care in order to get a good result.

The soil mixture for seedlings of the variety is prepared independently or purchased in specialized stores. The soil should be nutritious, loose, with a neutral or slightly acidic reaction.

In their reviews, gardeners write that the seeds of the Spasskaya Tower tomatoes must be prepared before sowing (see photo).

For this, a set of activities is carried out:

  1. The seed is soaked in a solution of liquid fertilizers (Effekton, Agricola-vegeta), ash or nitrophoska. For the procedure, it is enough to take 1 tsp. substances and dissolve in 1 liter of clean water. Put the seeds in a gauze bag and immerse them in the solution for a day. The ambient temperature must be at least + 25 ° С.
  2. Quenched by placing on a shelf in the refrigerator for two days. Tomato seeds swollen after soaking are placed in a plastic bag and left in the refrigerator.

At the same time, the soil mixture is prepared for sowing. The ideal composition is considered to be a mixture of humus, garden soil and humus in equal amounts. An additional 1 tsp is added to the bucket of the mixture. superphosphate, potassium sulfate and urea.Then the resulting soil is heated in the oven for 25 minutes. The prepared soil is poured into a container and moistened the day before sowing tomato seeds.

According to the reviews of those who planted Spasskaya Tower tomatoes, the ideal planting depth of seeds is 1 cm, and the distance between them is 2 cm (see photo).

A gap of about 5 cm is left between the rows. Convenient cassettes can be used.

Further care of seedlings consists in timely watering, feeding, hardening and preventive treatments for diseases. Tomato seedlings dive in the phase of two true leaves.

Productivity, subject to agricultural technology, is up to 4-5 kg per plant.

Attention! The tomato needs regular pinching. The maximum yield is observed when a bush is formed of 2-3 stems.

Gardeners reviews

It is interesting to listen to those who planted a tomato of the Tolstoy F1 variety in their garden.

Svetlana, Moscow region:

“I grow tomatoes in greenhouses and prefer the tall Dutch varieties. I have been cultivating Tolstoy tomatoes for several years. I grow seedlings as usual, and in April I plant them in a greenhouse. I change the soil every year and disinfect it well with boiling water. I prefer deep stem penetration. Then more roots are formed, and the plant will be strong. In the greenhouse I have a trellis to which I tie tomatoes. They grow so well that then I throw the stem over, and it almost grows to the ground. I pinch the stem when there is a distance of half a meter. I collect a lot of tomatoes until October. And they remain with me until the New Year. "

“Our climate is not very favorable for tomatoes, but I try to grow the Tolstoy hybrid in the open field. Yes, there is a lot of trouble with him. But in August I get such delicious tomatoes, from which I prepare a lot of preparations for the winter. They are good in both marinade and brine. You take out a jar, and the tomatoes are as fresh: they don't burst, they don't crack. And the taste is amazing. Try to plant this hybrid and the reviews will be great. "
