hi i sowed onions at the end of november (in sardinia) today i find flowering plants and small bulbs, when can i collect them? thank you

Hello and welcome to the reader questions section of our website. The harvesting period for onions varies according to the growing area but is in any case limited to the months of August and September. It is harvested earlier in areas with a milder climate while in mountain areas the crop is sometimes delayed even until late September. When the onions have bloomed as in your case it can be a good thing to press them against the ground trying to keep them as much as possible against the ground, partly burying them.
